Local Professional Lion Dance Team

 

We are established on the 17th of July, 2016 by a group of passionate youngsters aiming to carry on the tradition of our Sar Ping (Lui Pai) Lion Dance Arts. 

 

The Chinese Lion Dance tradition is one that many people have seen but not many people know about them. The Chinese Lion Dance has been split into 2 categories, one being the He Shan (鶴山) and Fo Shan (佛山). Our team belonged to the former, which you can see a significant difference in the Lion Head. Our Lion will have a flat mouth and also a round horn, which often mimics the actions of a cat while the latter has a fiercer look of a bent mouth and sharp horn.
